How do we get to the venue?

If you are travelling from abroad, we recommend flying into Cluj-Napoca Airport (CLJ). We will arrange transportation from Cluj city centre to the venue (Conacul Secuiesc, Colțești) on Friday afternoon (~4PM), and back to Cluj on Sunday morning (~11AM). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. We will share more detailed travel information closer to the wedding. If you are arriving via Bucharest, you can also take an overnight train to Cluj-Napoca. Just keep in mind that Romanian trains can be a little unpredictable, so we recommend allowing plenty of time for connections. You can also fly from Bucharest to Cluj-Napoca.

Do we need to book accommodation?

No – accommodation is arranged by us from Friday, 25 June to Sunday, 27 June. Guests will stay either at the venue itself (Conacul Secuiesc) or at nearby accommodation, just a few minutes away. If you are staying off-site, transportation to and from the venue will be provided. We will share your accommodation details closer to the wedding.

Do we need to arrange our own meals?

Meals during the wedding weekend will be provided, so you don’t need to worry about this 😊. Dinner will be served on Friday evening, and breakfast is included on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the wedding starts at 1:00 PM, with food being served from around 3:00 PM.

How do we pay for the accommodation?

You don’t need to pay for the accommodation – it is our treat for the wedding weekend (Friday, 25 June to Sunday, 27 June). You don’t need to book or arrange anything separately.

Is the venue appropriate for children?

Absolutely. The venue is very child-friendly, with a playground and plenty of green space for children to run around and play. We will also organize some activities for children during the wedding. High chairs can be provided for meals — just let us know in advance what you might need.

Do you have a wedding registry or gift preference?

We are very fortunate to already have a home filled with everything we need, so we do not have a traditional gift registry. If you would like to celebrate with a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be deeply appreciated, but is entirely optional. (We will share bank details closer to the wedding.)

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes – the venue has its own parking lot, so you can easily park your car on site if you are travelling by car.

Do the rooms include an iron?

No, rooms do not include an iron. If you need one, we recommend bringing a travel iron if possible. We will also create a WhatsApp group where guests can coordinate and share items such as irons if needed.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Yes, there is a small grocery shop within a 5-minute walk from the venue. Please note that this is a small village store in a mountain area, so selection is limited. If you think you may need access to a larger supermarket, we recommend renting a car from Cluj. Otherwise, feel free to let us know if you need anything and we will be happy to help.

Is there a hair and make-up studio nearby?

There are no hair and make-up studios in the village itself. The closest options are in Cluj (about 1h15 by car) or Aiud (about 30 minutes by car). If you need help arranging hair and make-up, feel free to let us know — we are happy to assist.

What is there to do at the wedding venue?

The area is surrounded by nature and offers several activities: Hiking trails accessible directly from the venue; Bike and e-bike rentals to explore the surroundings; Sauna and jacuzzi area available for guests; A playground with swings, slides, and a trampoline for children

Is there anything else we should bring or keep in mind?

Since the wedding takes place in the Romanian countryside in summer, we recommend bringing a few practical items to make your stay more comfortable. We suggest packing insect repellent and sunscreen. As the venue is surrounded by nature, there may also be mosquitoes and occasional ticks in the area. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs might also be useful. If you'd like to use the sauna and jacuzzi, bring a swimsuit.

What kind of wedding should we expect?

We are planning a relaxed, international weekend wedding focused on dancing, connection, and celebrating together. Dancing will be at the heart of the entire day and evening. From traditional Romanian dances to music from different cultures, we hope everyone will join in, share their own moves, and keep the dance floor alive throughout the celebration. Food and drinks will be fully provided during the celebrations — your only job is to bring your energy and your best dance moves 😊

Is there a dress code?

We kindly ask guests to dress in a festive and elegant style, suitable for a summer wedding in the mountains. For men, suits with shirts are perfect (ties are optional). For women, we encourage colourful and joyful dresses — floral prints, flowing fabrics, and traditional or nature-inspired elements are very welcome. (You can check the below photo for inspiration) As part of the wedding will take place outdoors on grass, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes with wider heels or flats rather than thin stilettos. Since dancing will be a central part of the celebration, we encourage everyone to choose outfits and shoes that allow you to move comfortably and enjoy the dance floor throughout the day and evening.
